Our beautiful baby girl came into the world 8 weeks before her due date weighing 3lb 11.5oz and made
our little family complete.
We felt so blessed to have a beautiful little daughter, a little sister for Nathan. We had so many
dreams for her, of bringing her home from the hospital and our two precious children growing up
together.
Sienna was doing so well in the Special Care Baby Unit to begin with, we even had a meeting to plan
for her to come home, we were so excited and happy to think that after many weeks we were going to
all be together as a family. Sienna had a beautiful nursery all set up ready for her to come home
to.
It broke our hearts when Sienna became poorly, but we never gave up hoping, and neither did Sienna.
We were amazed and inspired at the strength of our little baby.
The Doctors said that Sienna had a very rare and incurable lung condition, there was nothing more
they could do, and our precious baby girl passed away in her daddy's arms, the same day that we had
her blessed. She was 22 weeks old.
Sienna you leave behind a brokenhearted mummy, daddy and brother. But you are ALWAYS in our hearts,
we love you and always will. You've made us so proud, and taught us that love is a bond that can
never be broken.

More of Mummy's ramblings!
I wrote this poem yesterday in the Chapel at the hospital before work, and I felt like a huge weight had been lifted, this is for you Sienna:
Pray for our loved ones departed
And pray for our loved ones here still
Pray for the love which ties us
And pray that it always will

I Hear Each Tear
My Mom doesn't know I'm watching her
but I'm watching her just the same.
And I hear each tear fall on her face
at the mention of my name.
She says it sounds like music to her ears
and be heard over a crowd.
Oh, I hear each tear fall on her face,
when my name is said aloud.
I watch her stumble through each day
as she wishes the day would end.
And I hear each tear fall on her face
as she talks of me with her friends.
But there are few who truly understand.
Oh this I've heard her proclaim.

Will my Mom ever be the same?
I know that her smile can light up a sky,
But I don't see that smile today.

her blus skies have turned to grey.
Oh I send to her my warmest hug

From the moment that you left me, to go to heaven up above, you've sent me your strength, you've sent me your love,
Its your strength and your love that has carried me through,
Many tears i've cried Sienna - those tears are just for you,
First I was numb - it couldn't really be true
Then I was angry - WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE YOU?
Then came the tears - I thought they'd stay forever
Then slowly came the smiles - of happy times spent together.
I will always miss you, that much is true
But there is a place in my heart Sienna, that place is just for you
